Meet the Tobii April 10, 2014

I told Josh if he wanted online he would have to calibrate at least in the medium range. No more resistance. He succeeded in two tries. He really wants online.

We saw the speech therapist today. Our main concern was the program Josh was using was geared toward a young child. He needed something more age appropriate. She found what we were looking for and Josh immediately said…’no’. He had gotten used to the first program and he wasn’t confident he could use the second one.

I convinced him to give the new program the same time he gave the old program. Karen, the speech therapist, linked them both together so Josh can use the newer one and then easily go back to the older one until he gains experience and confidence. This solution pleased us all.

Josh will get his system online this afternoon and, hopefully, synced up with the printer. That’s our goal for this afternoon.

He won’t have speech next week. the therapist isn’t available so Josh will have two full weeks to familiarize himself with the new program. Life is very exciting at our house this week.
